No, the abortion pill should never be used as emergency contraception. Abortion pills terminate an existing pregnancy.

what else should I know?

It's important to have an ultrasound performed prior to taking abortion pills. An ultrasound is the best way to confirm how far along you are and if the pregnancy is occurring inside the uterus. Due to health and safety risks, ordering online is not advised by the FDA.
